賣方收到訂貨之後，要盡快回覆買方做確認，答覆情形有3種:依訂單全部接受、局部接受、謝絕訂貨。

範例一:賣家承認買家的訂貨

     In reply to your order of ___(日期) on ___(商品數量，如: 3,000yds white shirting), we are pleased to confirm our acceptance as shown in the enclosed Sales Note. As requested, we have arranged for immediate shipment. Please open your L/C by ___(日期) upon accepting our requirement.

     The first available ship is scheduled for departure on ___(日期). We are confident of handling your order with complete satisfaction provided your L/C reaches us by the end of ___(日期).

     We thank you for this initial order and hope to receive your further orders in the future.

As regards the other two qualities, we will ship them within one month on receipt of your L/C.

     As requested, we have today air freighted one sample for your evaluation. We are sure that the quality would meet your approval.

範例三: 賣家無庫存不能立即交貨

Dear Sirs,

     We thank you for your order for 100 dozen yards of curtain fabric to patterns submitted, but as our stocks have been cleared and the cloth has to be manufactured, we are not in a position to effect delivery in less than a fortnight. It must also be understood that this period will be exceeded if the makers have none of the patterns selected on hand, there is, however, little danger of this.

     If your demand is so pressing as to necessitate immediate delivery, we are prepared to supply a material in some respects inferior but satisfactory for most ordinary purposes, as the samples enclosed will show. We suggest, however, that it would pay you to suspend the execution of your order unless such a course is for special reasons inadvisable. Perhaps you would be good enough to confirm your order subject to these conditions.
